GREAT MORNING AT MARANATHA BAPTIST CHURCH IN OKLAHOMA

Sunday Morning

This morning it was an honor to teach and preach for Pastor Charley O’Daniel who pastors the MARANATHA BAPTIST CHURCH of Bethany, OK.  He has been their pastor for 30 years and been a faithful fundamentalist.  The people were very attentive and very responsive both to the preaching along with the altar call. We had 10 saved, 8 professions, and 5 baptized. It was wonderful to see the altars filled! This is an old fashioned independent Baptist church!

I will be preaching tonight at 6 pm.

Psalm 12:6-7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

1) The Scripture says “are pure words” which is present tense.
2) The Scripture says “Thou shalt keep them, O LORD…”
3) The Scripture says “…O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”
II Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
1) “is” not “was”
2) “for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction…” In order to be grammatically correct to go from “is” to “for” you cannot insert the word “was”in place of “is.”
3) This is true for the English as well as the Greek
A dictionary would help some of you who are floundering and upset over the phrase “preserved inspiration.”
1) “Preserved” according to the dictionary is…
             a) Maintain something in its original or existing state
             b) Maintain or keep alive
             c) Keep safe from harm
2) “Inspiration”
             a) The divine influence of the Holy Ghost that led to
penning of Holy Scriptures (II Peter 1:20-21)
             b) The divine influence of the Holy Ghost to cause
understanding of the Holy Scriptures (Job 32:8)
Put it together boys and girls and guess what? You have “preserved inspiration.” The same inspiration found in Psalm 119:89 in Heaven, in Hebrew, in Aramaic, in Greek, in English, in Chinese, in German, etc., God promised to preserve that inspiration to “all tongues.” By FAITH I trust God to do it! Do you?
Enoch was translated and he was the same in Heaven as he was on earth and the Scriptures that were settled in Heaven are translated into “all tongues” and God said He was responsible to see that it happened. AMEN! I trust God to do so! Paul warned us about those who would “corrupt” the Scriptures! (II Corinthians 2:17) This my friend is the issue before us in 2011! GOTTA LOVE THE KING JAMES BIBLE’S preserved inspiration! Keep those cards and letters coming!
