It has been extremely hot in Texas with record breaking temps over 100. I couldn’t help but notice our Crepe Myrtle tree in front of our house today. I am amazed that it is doing as well as it is with all of the 30 some plus days of extreme heat.
I will be up at 2:30 in the morning to get ready for a trip to Shreveport, LA., to catch a plane to DFW and then on to Greensboro, NC. My flight leaves at 6 am. I will be preaching for my good friend Pastor Bill Davis. He pastors CORNERSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH and is doing a great job. They have seen 35 baptisms in the past few months and recently had 191 on a Wednesday night service. Pastor Davis had surgery on one of his knees and is home resting. Please pray for him he has a lot of health issues!
I got the results back from Dr. Williams and the mass on the outside of my bladder is not malignant. He has me scheduled to come back in month to check to see if it is still growing. If it is he said we may have to consider surgery. I hope not!
Mrs. G is still scheduled for a complete hip replacement on August 2. She went through a two hour video and preparation time with the doctors for the surgery last Wednesday. She is not excited about it but she is such pain she has to do it. Well this is the latest news from the geriatric couple of the month! Ha!
Two of the 14 books at the printers are being shipped today. The books are the on “HEAVEN” and “24 CARAT FRIENDSHIP.” I am excited about the rest of them coming in within the next 30 days! I am especially thrilled about my “PERSONAL SOUL WINNER’S GUIDEBOOK.” It will be filled with great practical truths to help any soul winner.
Also, my book “WHEN PRINCIPLE WAS KING” will be a hard back and we are hoping to have it out by the end of the year. 400 plus pages of an insight into the principles of Dr. Jack Hyles! This is a must for any young person who desires to serve God full time! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!
