Tonight I preached my sermon at the BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH of Spanish Fort, AL, “GOD’S SIMPLE PLAN FOR A SOUL WINNING CHURCH” from Luke chapter 14.
Pastor Richard Ullo became the pastor a little over two years ago with 3 or 4 ladies who kept the doors open. This dear pastor and family have gone soul winning and God is beginning to bless their efforts. This is like starting all over again, but this family is determined to keep on winning souls. They average 50 a Sunday and that is far cry from the 3 or 4 that greeted them when they came. There were 7 saved Sunday and 1 baptism. They have remodeled the inside of the auditorium and it looks brand new.

Tonight after the service I was chatting with the pastor and he mentioned that their son Brian is in the Marines and is on his way to Afghanistan. I asked him for a pic and he emailed this one to me. I could not help but recall the Ullo children as little ones when they first came to Longview, TX. I cannot begin to tell you how proud of this family I am. Thank God for them! Pray for Brian.
By the way I forgot to give the Book and Chapter for the outline I sent in the previous BLOG. WOW, at lease I know you are reading them. Let me do one thing wrong and all of you come out of the wood work! HA! It was Proverbs chapter 27. GOTTA LOVE THE SCRIPTURES!
Ok, boys and girls here is another outline for “GOD’S SIMPLE PLAN FOR A SOUL WINNING CHURCH” from Luke chapter 14:12-24. This is a parable of the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.” A heavenly truth with an earthly story. We are to reach every one we can with the Gospel in order to prepare them for the Rapture, Judgment Seat of Christ, Marriage of the Lamb, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
1) Make church a feast (verse 13)
2) Call the poor, maimed, lame, & blind (verse 13)
3) Do not expect the converts to pay the bills (vs. 14)
4) Trust God to pay the bills (verse 12, 14; Psalm 41)
5) Prepare for the converts (vs. 16, 17)
6) Remove their excuses (vs. 18-20)
7) Bring your own converts to church (vs. 21)
8) Turn your bidding into compelling (vs 16-17, 23-24)
GOTTA LOVE A SOUL WINNING CHURCH!
