I have been preaching for Pastor Sergio Ali who pastors the Igelesia Bautisa Fundamental of Bay Shore, New York. He attended our NATIONAL SOUL WINNING CLINIC eleven years ago while pastoring a denominational Baptist church. When he returned and starting soul winning and teaching personal soul winning the deacons raised up against him and eventually the church fired him. He the started this church in Bay Shore. He is an aggressive soul winner and his people love him very much.
He has for over four years been building by faith an auditorium that will seat 450 with a balcony. He and his dear people have given and given and given. They have not only pooled their resources but their labor as well in the building of this auditorium. They must finish it by November 2010. It will take a miracle financially for them to complete it by then. Please pray that God will continue to provide for the completion of this auditorium. This is a solid man of God with some great people.
I preached tonight under a tent on THE DANGER OF CHANGE! The tent was full with every chair being filled. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” God is saying to His people you should be thankful that I do not change other wise you would be consumed. Maybe as God’s children we should represent our Heavenly Father the same way and CHANGE NOT so that our children will not be consumed.
There is a difference between the word CHANGE and the word IMPROVEMENT. CHANGE comes naturally and is a downward decline while IMPROVEMENT comes on purpose and is an upward climb. We mistakenly ask God to CHANGE us when we should ask God to IMPROVE us!
Three times in Romans chapter 1, the chapter of a decline in humanity, God mentions change. Romans 1:23; 1:25; and 1:26. Three things changed! First, the glory of God in verse 23! Second, the Word of God in verse 25! Third, the lifestyle of man in verse 26!
Truth is a position while change is also a position. Truth as a position is finite while change as a position is infinite. Truth as a position has boundaries while change as a position has no boundaries. Once you start changing you never stop. Open the door a little and that is why it is called BACKSLIDING. You turn your back and you slid down unable to stop yourself. When you put a question mark on the inspiration of the King James Bible you open the door for the next generation to go even further through the crack in the door. Once you start changing you never quit because there is no restraint. Hide behind truth and truth will protect you and the gates of Hell will not prevail!
I left a wake up call for 2:30 am. That is 1:30 Texas time! The pastor will be taking me to the airport for an early flight to DFW and then on to Longview, Texas. Put the dog out mama I’m coming home! GOTTA LOVE SERVING THE LORD!
