I flew into Pittsburg, PA, on Saturday and Pastor Gary Crawford picked me up at the airport and drove me to Waynesburg, PA. He pastors the BRISTORIA BAPTIST CHURCH, which he founded 30 years ago.
I registered at the Microtel Inn & Suites, unpacked, set up housekeeping, and went for a 4 mile walk. I have a Nike chip in my Nike shoes with a Nike program on my Iphone4s which records my miles, time, and calories.
As I was finishing up my 4 miles and walking behind the Bob Evans Restaurant next door to the motel there was a Bob Evans’ waitress sitting outside the back door relaxing. She was counting her tips and I startled her she blurted out, “Your not going to rob me are you?” I laughed and said, “No mam, I’m a Baptist preacher, which may be worse to some people.” She laughed and I gave her a Gospel tract with my picture on it.
We talked for a few minutes and I gave her the Gospel. Bless her heart she said, “I’ve got to get into church.” I said respectfully, “No you need to know you are going to Heaven when you die!” After a little while she bowed her head and asked Christ to save her soul from going to Hell. SOMEBODY SAY AMEN!
